Discovery Living Lab has been an innovation ecosystem with active stakeholder participation since 2019, forming a nationwide network with Discovery Center researchers and groups of active end users. Our activities in Hungary, based on a decades-long network of contacts, allow us to conduct real experiments on thousands of hectares. The success of our experiments carried out over the past four years, tested by farmers in a real settings, establishes the raison d’être of our laboratory and thus the widespread use of our innovation results.

The members of the coordinator team are highly qualified and have decades of practical experience in their field. From the outset, this professional team has been committed and motivated to actively involve our stakeholders in exploring possible improvements in more flexible agricultural practices, given the increasing extremism affecting agriculture.

The main goal of our living laboratory is to become a leading research network and location for sustainable soil management and precision agriculture of the Carpathian Basin.

Furthermore, our extremely important goal is to involve users belonging to different stakeholder groups in our research ideas as widely as possible through our inclusive operation, well-defined and documented methods and activities.
